• May 2014-Jun 2019. Taipei, Taiwan. Creative Director and partner at the international practice IMO CREATIONS, with its headquarters in the amazing city of Taipei, Taiwan. IMO CREATIONS is formed by a multidisciplinary team with a fresh and cutting-edge approach to architectural design, pursuing especially the creation of remarkable spatial experiences.

 

• July 2017-September 2017. New York City, USA. NEBULÆ was an interactive sculpture designed for the MANGO store in Broadway Street, at Soho, NYC. Again, the deadline was ridiculously hard! Less than a couple of weeks for the design of this reactive space, one week for its production, and 3 days for the final assemblage in NYC. Our goal was to create a NEXT GENERATION RETAIL EXPERIENCE. At the end it was a new success ?

 

• April 2017-June 2017. Barcelona, Spain. MANGO HOUSE. Mango hired me as architect and project manager for the creation of a lounge at the PRIMAVERASOUND FESTIVAL 2017. Due to its extreme deadline (barely a month for the whole design and building process), it was a real tour-de-force, with a really successful final result. I conceived it as a house by the beach, with a rich and innovative spatial distribution that allowed many different experiences.

 

• December 2014-March 2015. Barcelona, Spain. ERICSSON MWC 2015. Hired as project manager of the largest pavilion in the MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS and the whole Barcelona Fira. Almost 8000 square meters built in less than a month. Clients: Fira Barcelona, Jack Morton Worldwide, Ericsson.

 

• June 2014-September 2014. Barcelona, Spain. CINEMA TOY. Permanent Videoinstallation. Art direction, video installation, video mapping, motion graphics. A visual divertissement for the Tickets restaurant (Albert & Ferrán Adrià).

 

• February 2012-May 2012. Barcelona, Spain. FROSTED RAIN. Permanent videoinstallation. Art direction, project management, video installation, interior design, motion graphics. A spatial poetry for a new concept of restaurant. This videoinstallation developes an oneiric space that invites you to dream, generating an immersive audiovisual echo chamber. Clients: Albert & Ferrán Adrià.

 

• October 2011. Barcelona, Spain. CRYSTAL NEREIDS. Videoinstallation. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. An audiovisual scenography for oh!BCN, an event about glass and gastronomy in Palo Alto, Barcelona.

 

• Summer 2011. Barcelona, Spain. ESPACIO REPLICANTE. Sculpture and video installation. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. In collaboration with the glass sculptor Joan Crous. Vitrified McDonalds tables and a spider web forest compound part of an hypothetic future museum about our times.

 

• Various locations, Denmark and Spain. COCOON LULLABY. Theatrical performance. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. In collaboration with my wife Kela Jurado. This was really a unique project. We conceived this performance for our daughter while she was inside Kela’s womb, who realizes a butoh performance while being surrounded by the screens, like the baby is inside her.

 

• November 2009. Sevilla, Spain. LIVE WITH HECQ. Performance of live cinema, with the musician Hecq in Hall Hassan II (Fundación Tres Culturas) within LUX 2009, International Festival of Visual and Live Cinema de Sevilla.

• 25/09/2009. Berlin, Germany. JØRN UTZON BOREALIS. Art direction, project management, video installation, production, video editing, motion graphics, live media performance. Jørn Utzon Borealis was the winner of the popular vote online international prize Celeste Prize, in the category Live Media.

Is the design of a video installation at the entrances to the building, the exterior architectural design (in collaboration with Santiago Cirujeda) full corporate design, print advertising and audiovisual, and construction of web space.

For the opening of the project RED PÚBLICA SPACE, winner of the competition Transversal 3, within the Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo de Sevilla (BIACS), in the courtyard of the College of Arquitectos of Seville.

Within the International Festival of Art and New Technologies Makinarte, held at the Auditorio de Cáceres, with eight video projectors, sound system, DJing, screens envelopes.

 

• 12/04/2.003. Don Benito (Badajoz), Spain. FREE VS CORPORATIVE. Immersive videoinstallation. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production, coordination and live media performance. During the Education Fair and New Technologies, held in Don Benito (Badajoz), for technological Albetización Regional Plan of the Board of Extremadura, five video projectors, 10 computers, a sound systems, screens three dimensions with transparency effects. 5000 spectators attended over four days.

 

• 20/03/2.003. Florence, Italy. UR: CITY ONE. Immersive videoinstallation. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. Held in a Renaissance church. During the International Festival of Contemporary Art and New Media at Florence. 2500 ANSI projectors lumen, 12 computers, sound system and tridimensional surrounding screens.

 

• December 2002 – July 2003. Extremadura, Spain. KHARMA ZERO. Theatrical play and audiovisual scenography. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. Within the Technology Literacy Plan board of Extremadura, with performances in different locations in Extremadura geography; 5 projectors, 15 computers, sound system, stage lights, special effects, three structural sculptures iron concentrations of 3 feet in hand, summer fires charred trees, latex translucent screens, live musical performance, and performance.

 

• December 2002. Castuera (Badajoz), Spain. TELE-VISION. Videoinstallation & videomapping. Art direction, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. Held during the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the People’s University of Castuera. Using 20 computers, 5 2000 ANSI lumen projectors and other outdoor 5,000 for a church projections (projection size: 80 meters), wraparound screens in three dimensions, two sound systems.

 

• 08/09/2.002. Mérida (Badajoz), Spain. LINDES. Video mapping. Visual composition and live media performance. With Sergio Moreno, for Extremadura’s Celebration Day at the Teatro Romano de Mérida. Using a 10000 ANSI lumen projector to achieve huge projections.

 

• 20/04/2.002. Cáceres, Spain. VERSION 3. Immersive videoinstallation. Art direction, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. For the International Festival of Art and New Technologies Makinarte, at the Auditorium of Caceres. Using four projectors, seven computers, a sound system and three dimensions surrounding screens.

 

• December 2001. Castuera (Badajoz), Spain. LOS FANTASMAS EXISTEN. Immersive videoinstallation. Art direction, project management, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. Internet semi controlled video installation. At the Cultural Center of Castuera. Six video projectors, 20 computers, a sound system, DVDs, 4 TVs, closed circuit video, and 3D immersive screens.

 

• October 2001. Barcelona, Spain. wewearbuldings / hackitectura. Videoinstallation. Art direction, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. At the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona), during the international architecture exhibition M3 advanced. Made with three projectors, media center prototype, ‘mediatank “(done on purpose), a sound system.

 

• April 2001. Sevilla, Spain. PODER. Videoinstallation. Art direction, audiovisual and scenographic design, production and live media performance. With Pablo de Soto. During the cultural week of the School of Architecture at the University of Seville. Performed using 3 video projectors, four computers, a sound system.
